The Last Song

I just read the BEST book in the HISTORY OF BOOKS! It's called "The Last Song" by Nicholas Sparks. I just couldn't take how good it is!!!!! I'm going to read it again, and a million times after that!!!!It's about a girl named Ronnie Miller. Her parents are divorced, and she lives in New York with her mother and little brother Jonah. Her father lives in North Carolina, where her mother unexpectedly ships them off to for the summer.
Steve (Ronnie's father) is a piano player, and was once a teacher at Julliard. Ronnie despises him, after the incident of him leaving them. Ronnie, lost in life, tries to avoid her dad as much as possible.
The first night in Wrightsville Beach Ronnie goes to the carnival that was temporarily set up on the beach. At the carnival, Ronnie accidently bumps into a guy playing volley-ball on the beach, spilling soda all down her shirt. This guy, Will, she soon falls in love with over the summer. After a dreadful encounter with some not so nice friends, Ronnie finds a loggerhead sea turtle nest. She calls the local aquarium, and Will shows up. Together they guard the nest from the dreadful raccoon.
The relationship between Ronnie and her dad grows, when she realizes that her dad does not want to make her life miserable, but that he actually trusts her, and believes in her.
It is a great book, that makes me happy, angry and sad all at once.
They are making it into a movie, which I am DYING to see. Unfortunately I have to wait until April.

A Great Vacation

This vacation was the best! Besides the fact that I caught my mom's cold, things were great. We got to see both my dad's family and my mom's family, and i also got to see my good friend Rachel. To top it all off, Mom made Toll House cookie bars!

Unfortunately though, when we got home, we found that our basement was flooded. Lots of our photos in the boxes have been ruined, some left out to dry. I hope that we can save it all. Well, that's all for now, ttyl

A Very Merry Christmas!

Hello everybody! I hope that all of you readers had a fantastic holiday season! Mine, was definitely not our traditional Christmas, but it was an interesting one. After our move to NJ, we have been visiting NH on a regular basis. Our friends and family are all there, (as well as my orthodontist.) This Christmas consisted of 7 and 1/2 hours of constant driving in the car. Our Christmas dinner was McDonalds. Isn't that sad? But after a long journey of being locked in our seats, we got to Grandma, Bubby, and Uncle Jim's house, where we will stay for the remainder of our vacation. I am very excited to be here, because I get to visit with my family as well as friends. Right now, I am actually writing from NH on my new laptop which I got for Christmas. Well, I should go, I going to visit with my family.

A Festival Of Trees

On Friday and Saturday night this week, the camp had their 1st annual Festival of Trees. It was amazing! Companies came together and donated trees in which they decorated and advertized their buisiness. The kids had a great time as well! They visited with Santa, went on hayrides and listened to some fabulous performances (one of which was my church choir! [: ) A children's center also came to do crafts with the kids!
Some friends of mine came on Saturday, and I was so glad that they came! Marilyssa was there, Sarah was there and Jade was there. Sarah wasn't there for long, but she was there long enough to have fun! Besides the chilly weather, the hayride was loud and grand! Judy led us all in carolls, and Marilyssa told some great stories, while we all were huddled together underneath layers of blankets! After our choir sang a contata, and we went on ANOTHER hayride, we settled down near the fire and told fun stories with Jason. We were out there for an hour just chatting! Eventually Sarah left, then Marilyssa until it was just Jason, Jade and me. It started to cool down even more and my butt was frozen solid, so we went inside to have dinner, then take Jade home.
All in all it was a fabulous weekend, and I hope yours was too :)

A Visit To NH

Hello All! I hope you are all having a wonderful, cool winter up north :) I miss the cold so much. It was about 70 degrees here today! I couldn't believe that I have the opportunity to wear shorts and short sleeves in December. It's amazing! But, I would MUCH rather have a cooler winter with snow. The other day I was listening to the song, "White Christmas" sung by Bing Crosby, and realized that I may not have a White Christmas. I hope we will be coming up there though, because I think I would DIE without being 'home for the holidays'!
I am coming up though, this weekend, to an orthodontist appointment. I get to skip school on Monday which is so totally AWESOME. You know what else is awesome? The fact that I get to audition to be on Disney or Nickelodeon!!! Yeah! We were listening to the radio in the car, and it was all, "does your child love to act?" yes.... "Does your child wish she could be in movies?" yeah... "does your child love to sing and dance?" YES! "Then call this number!" As a very spontaneous and spur of the moment thing, we called. Mom and I both figured that we wouldn't get through, cause who EVER gets through to a radio station? But apparently we did! And I have an audition in Philadelphia! Even if I don't get any parts, it will still be neat to say that I did it.
Thanksgiving was very fun this year. The Conneal's, who also work at the camp, came for a Thanksgiving dinner, and Mom baked her first turkey this year, which was muy delicioso! And of course, she made her traditional Toll House Pie :)

Mom has been a substitute for NJ. Everyday she goes on this stupid website, and clicks on "Available Jobs" every 20 seconds, find a job, and snatch it before somebody else does. (Which is really stupid if you ask me) Then, she goes to these scary inner-city schools, and gets beat up by a bunch of kids, then comes home and says she is never substituting again, but she would in a nicer school, then does the whole thing all over again with a different school. I feel really bad for her. She loves teaching, but all you substitutes out there reading this get what I am saying. Keep her in prayers please.

So things at school are good, Billy has been good, and I've been getting good grades, so things are somewhat swell for my situations. I have to gone now, so until I write again,
"Hasta Luego!"
